WOW!!! What an amazing lesson with Wurly the Springer Spaniel

Wurly has certainly been on a rollercoaster of a journey with some very memorable moments in his training. When I first spoke with Wurly’s owner she was thinking of re-homing him. His recall was that bad that whilst in Scotland he disappeared and pinned a sheep in the lock. At that point realisation kicked in, yes he could have been shot.

Today was a huge triumph. Wurly quartered, hunted the cover, listened to all whistle commands and stopped at any distance. He retrieved everything to hand and for the last 15 minutes he worked around my Spaniels showing no interest in chasing them like he used to. Whilst my client was over the moon I’m not sure she was impressed with the muddy boy we finished up with.
