TransK9 offer the best safety for your dogs in transit.

I see so many people arrive for lessons with their dogs loose in their cars. Sometimes it’s in the front seat, or maybe walking around on the back seats. Even loose in the boot isn’t the best way to travel with your dogs.

Rule 57 of the Highway Code states – When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly. A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals in cars. If caught with a dog loose in the car you could face charges of driving without due care and attention if you get distracted.

You wouldn’t allow your children to travel in a car without a seatbelt so why do people think its acceptable for their dogs. I never travel with any of my dogs loose no matter how short the journey maybe. I use a dog transit box from TransK9. Not only dose it protect my dogs whilst travelling, it can also be used as a crate when visiting friends or family. I also use if as pictured above as a place to train my dogs whilst I’m working around the farm. It helps to create control and obedience in my dogs. It means I can have my dogs around me whilst outside, without the worry of having to keep an eye on what they are doing.

TransK9 offer dog transit boxes that are vehicle specific so if you want to protect your dogs whilst travelling please tale a look at their website www.transk9.com

Think before you drive with your dogs, are they safe, can they distract or could they kill you if you stop suddenly.
