Rossi the Working Cocker Spaniel – Gundog Training

This 15 week old puppy attended an assessment this week after his owner observed me performing a gundog demonstration at my recently charity gundog event. Rossi is Tim’s first working dog and he’s keen to ensure no mistakes are made at the early stages. Like many new owners he’s turned to the Internet which can be a great tool but sometimes it can offer to much conflicting information that only confuses clients.

Whilst Rossi is a puppy he’s also like a sponge, if you place the sponge in water very quickly it’s soak up water, if left to long it sinks. Our puppies are the same so it’s important that we only allow small time for training to avoid overloading the dog with to much information.
