Residential Gundog Training with Bryn the Labrador

Bryn is nearly 2 years old and the brother to my Fox Red Labrador Fern. His training has certainly been a rollercoaster of events, but the biggest problem has been consistency. I could say it’s not the handler and it’s the family who are not helping with the training but I’d be wrong. Bryn has been trained and is more than capable of achieving but at the minute he’s playing Scott with deliveries. So after our last lesson I advised that Bryn should resided with me for some refresher residential gundog training on correcting retrieving to hand.

Bryn has spent just over 5 days with me and the change is fantastic. When Scott collected him yesterday and after seeing my video footage of him training he was more than happy. What is very clear is that Bryn needs 100% structure. He’s the type of dog that if given an inch he’ll take 10 miles.

I’m looking forward to our lesson Friday and with a new training programme in place I know Scott will achieve what Bryn is capable of with my guidance and 100% consistency.
