7 month old Pickle the Working Cocker Spaniel and the importance of starting young.

puppy gundog training cocker spaniel

It’s always great to see Pickle for her gundog training lesson.

I first met Pickle at the age of 12 weeks. Starting young with puppy gundog training has allowed us to ensure we ticked the training boxes methodically. At 7 months we already have steadiness to thrown dummies, directional commands, whistle commands, hunting and a perfect delivery to hand. Starting your training young doesn’t loose any of the character a puppy has, it allows us to use her enthusiasm to train and get the best from her in a fun way.

Pickles is destined to be a great working dog in the shooting field, her enthusiasm and character will make her the dog to be proud of. I look forward to furthering her development as her puppy gundog training continues.
