Puppy Gundog Training assessment with Jess the Springer Spaniel.

Meet Jess the Springer Spaniel pup that today attended her first Gundog Training lesson.  Karl Jess’s owner is keep to make sure the training she receives is 100%.  Foundation training with any dog is key to success, if done at the early stages you’ll reap the rewards in the shooting field.

Jess is certainly an attentive girl, full of character and a pleasure to be around.  It’s Karl’s intention to work Jess and with fun and structure Jess will certainly be at his side whilst out picking up.

When training with a puppy for the first time it’s important to remember that it’s all about fun.  Most of the training I teach at this age incorparates many training aids, which the dog sees as games.  Throw play and structure as a puppy the foundation building blocks are building built.

I’m looking forward to seeing more of Karl and Jess and especially as they’ve joined the Tessleymoor Gundog Club
