Proud Dad Moment with a Client and his Labrador
How many of us have watched our children achieve that proud moment in their lives, cheering and feeling emotional. Well today was a proud moment for Scott and Bryn.
Over the months Scott has worked hard instilling a good foundation of gundog training whether it be 1-2-1 or residential, he’s worked hard to over come some very trying times. Today’s lesson involved teaching Bryn to walk to heal whilst I worked my spaniels, flushing game and retrieving. Steadiness to shot is important so time was spent firing the gun ensuring Bryn didn’t run in. That proud moment came when I shot a pigeon, Bryn nicely retrieved delivering it to hand with no damage. This was that cheering and jumping moment, the point of realisation that all the time spent training has paid off.
I’d like to say a big well done to Scott for allowing me to keep brow beating him with my constant nagging of you can do it. Together we still have more to polish up with Bryn but the realisation of what can be achieved is insight.
