Isla’s last day of her Residential Gundog Training Programme
It’s been a pleasure and a joy to have had Isla the Hungarian Vizsla in for residential training. Not only have her photos increased my Instagram likes, she’s also provided me with a great training experience.
Isla was approximately 6 months when she arrived and whilst still only a young dog she was pushing boundaries to the limit. With consistency and structure Isla has learnt that calmness leads to reward.
Being avid climbers and extreme sports people, it’s Isla’s owners intentions to run with her and take her climbing so the importance of a well behaved dog is paramount. They also would like to have the option to shoot with her and therefore gundog training was the best option.
During the handover Siobhan and Andy was impressed with the focus Isla had on me and her calmness. Hungarian Vizsla’s are known for being excitable and bouncy which as humans we feed more with our over excitement and squeaky voice. I’m certainly looking forward to our lessons moving forward and showing how much more we achieved during the residential stay.
