Is your Gundog ready for the 2018 Shooting Season

As the shooting season draws nearer with the Glorious 12 being the start of fun filled months of shooting and woking our dogs it’s important to remember about preparation. Over summer many shooters will have continued to refine their shooting skills at clay grounds across the country, they may also have booked on to a simulated day in anticipation of the start of the shooting season. What is sometimes forgotten about is our trusty shooting companions., our dogs. Yes last year your dog may have been good or ok but if no training is done over the summer months many bad habits can creep in.

I remember once saying to a client “miss a bird shooting and it’ll be forgotten very quickly, but if your dog messes up on a shoot it’ll be remembered for a long time” and you may not be invited back.
