Charlie the Cocker Spaniel first Shooting experience after Gundog Training, Preston, Lancashire.
Today was a big day out for Charlie the Cocker Spaniel. He accompanied his owner on a relaxed shoot in Freckleton where there was approximately 10 guns and 7 other people with their dogs beating and picking up. Most of the dogs out working were Labradors however this did not put Alan off. Charlie delivered well and successfully managed 2 blind retrieves, 1 water retrieve and 2 marked pick ups and retrieves. Despite Charlie dropping the duck short on some retrieves Charlie had walked up perfectly until he was instructed to work and Alan is thrilled with his overall performance and achievement on the day.
Alan will be booking further training sessions and during these lessons we will be able to rectify some of the problems that did occur on the day. Well done to Charlie and Alan on their achievements.
