Gundog Training Wisp the Springer Spaniel.

Wisp, pictured above, is 10 months old and a cracking wee dog. Having purchased her as a puppy she has repaid me a million times over with the fun, enjoyment and rewards that I have experienced during our Gundog Training to date.

As with all of my dogs, I always commence a personalised Gundog Training programme from the moment they join my canine family at my kennels. Whilst I believe that it is important for my puppies to develop and enjoy their puppyhood, my specialist experience has taught me that puppies need to be taught foundational skills, and offered many opportunities to master them, in order to build a strong foundation for future learning to be built upon. Wisp is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through this approach to Gundog Training and has already mastered the skills to stop at a distance, direct onto dummies whilst being stopped and will redirect with ease. She will hunt up, quarter, retrieve dummies and game to hand and can easily assist at any of my Gundog Training Lessons.

Wisp is far from being fully trained but has shown great promise from the first. I will continue to invest my time and energies into training Wisp over the coming months to allow her to then experience the opportunity of joining me in the 2014 shooting fields. I know that she will continue to enrich my life, as I do hers, over the months ahead.
