Residential Gundog Training with Skye the Labrador.

I have been fortunate to have Skye the Labrador in for residential gundog training again.  I have known and trained Skye from a very young age.  Working with Skye and her owners has been a rewarding experience despite some fun but challenging times.  Skye had her first experience of working in the field during the 2012 shooting season, however this took place in a very controlled manner.  This was done in order for her owners to be able to gauge how she would react towards other dogs, people and the excitement that surrounded her.  Skye’s owners were impressed with what she was able to achieve whilst out working, especially considering how young she was at the time.

In order to improve her existing skills, Skye has now entered my kennels for further residential gundog training.  Her training programme has a main focus on steadiness, blind work and general handling.  With continual progress and perseverance from her owners, Skye will be working in the field throughout the 2013 shooting season as a fully trained working gundog.
