Gundog Training a Springer Spaniel & Labrador on Stop & Back Commands with Tessleymoor Gundogs.

This video shows my client with her 2 Labradors out Gundog Training with Pepper my Springer Spaniel. We are working on steadiness to thrown dummies, directional retrieves with distance control.

Rose, Sue’s Labrador has a huge bond with me so when I’ve given the stop whistle command for Pepper she’s also stopped.  Not the right thing to do!  She then waits for me to finish the retrieve with a small right direction on to the dummy.

Whilst it’s funny we need to work on Rose’s understanding of the whistle and handler giving the commands, as we hope to compete with her this year.
