Winning Farm24 Leading the Field UK Award and Celebrating a Special Day on the Farm

Celebrating a Truly Special Achievement

Today has been an incredible day on the farm and one I will always remember. I am honoured to share that I have been recognised as the winner of Farm24 ’s Leading the Field award. This achievement means so much to me and to celebrate it here on the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors makes it even more meaningful.

As part of the celebrations I welcomed Emily Ashworth, the digital editor from Farmers Guardian. Emily and I first met years ago when she visited my old farm in Lancashire, so having her here again felt like greeting an old friend. We spent the afternoon exploring the stories and history of this seventeenth century farm and it was wonderful to see her interest and enthusiasm for the place I now call home.

We recorded and filmed some exciting pieces that I will be sharing soon and the day was filled with laughter and good conversation. Before Emily left I was able to send her home with a few small gifts which brought smiles all round. I am so grateful to her and to Farmers Guardian for the work they do in supporting and celebrating our farming communities.

I am also thrilled to be announced as a Farm24 ambassador for 2026. I look forward to championing farming and helping to share more of the amazing work happening across our industry. Today has been a reminder of how lucky I am to be part of such a warm and supportive community and I cannot wait for what comes next.
