A Photoshoot on the Farm with Ryan Day

This week, I had the pleasure of welcoming the incredibly talented photographer Ryan Day to my farm here in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Having admired his work from a recent photoshoot at my friends Danny and Hannah’s farm in Cumbria, I knew Ryan would be the perfect person to capture fresh and authentic images for my media, press, and upcoming website update.

It’s been quite some time since I last updated my stock photos, and with recent press features still using older images, I felt it was the right moment to create a brand-new portfolio that truly reflects life on the farm today.

From the moment Ryan arrived, he made me feel completely at ease. Together, we toured the farm, capturing me in my natural environment as I went about my everyday farming duties. As it coincided with lambing season, it was especially meaningful to photograph the ewes and their new lambs—some of my favourite moments from the day.

Over the course of the shoot, Ryan took more than a thousand images. After careful selection, I now have a portfolio of over three hundred stunning photographs that beautifully showcase both the farm and the lifestyle it represents.
