Puppy Gundog Training with Cooper the Labrador

Cooper is one young headstrong lively Fox Red who has started to push boundaries with his owner. Since his first Labrador puppy training lesson he has grown in confidence. Whilst training on the lead he is listening and responding well. However, since we have started to introduce more off lead training, he’s treating it as a game. This is causing a few problems; his recall has gone backwards and he’s pushing boundaries. It’s also clear that he lacks an understanding of discipline and what a NO means.

Training the Tessleymoor Way is all about consistency. I’ve seen Cooper since he was a very young pup so the foundations are there. It’s so important to keep reinforcing commands and maintaining discipline, especially while your young dog is going through adolescence. All other training is built on these basics and so a little correction is needed to keep Cooper on track.
