Gundog Training Demonstration at Oakhill Vets open day, Goosnargh, Preston, Lancashire.

14 week old Wisp at a gundog training demonstration

I was fortunate enough to be invited to an open day at Oakhill Vetinery Centre today as they celebrated their 40th anniversary.  The day was packed with fun filled entertainment for all of the family, some of which included animal petting, bouncy castles, face painting and farmers market.  I had the pleasure of working alongside the police as they did demonstrations with specialist and general police dogs.

There was a fantastic turnout and I was on hand throughout the day to assist with questions and queries from individuals whilst demonstrating some of the skills that my dogs have which make them successful working dogs.  I did a 30 minute group gundog demonstration which pulled in a large supportive crowd.  Some of the dogs used for this demonstration included Nell, the residential Springer Spaniel; Sam my Labrador and Wisp my 14 week old puppy.  All the dogs did a sterling job and showed how with the correct training, consistency, structure and boundaries that all dogs have potential to achieve regardless of previous experiences.

Thanks to Oakhill Vetinery Centre and everyone who supported this event.  Should you require further information about dog training or gundog training then please contact me for further information.
