Residential Gundog Training with Sam the Cocker Spaniel

You may have read a previous testimonial post from my client (Read more) . The testimonial arrived after only seeing me for an hour on delivery of Sam for his residential training.

Sam arrived at our kennels a blank canvas. He’d never been trained as a gundog and when Eileen enquired for corrective behaviour training I instantly advised that his training needed channeling for his breed specific requirements. On his first day I was not only able to walk Sam to heel perfectly on a loose lead I was also able to have him off lead and retrieving. All of these was something Eileen wasn’t able to achieve. Sam was a puller on the lead and when off lead he would just run and run with little focus on his owners. Training Sam has been very rewarding, although challenging at times, the results are fantatsic. Sam’s handover is this weekend and I’ll be sad to see him go, his potential for the shooting field is immense and it’s with great pleasure to advise that Eileen and her husband will be looking to beat and pickup in the coming shooting season. Obviously they’ll need to continue training to achieve their goals.
