Gundog demonstration at Hillendale Landrover.

It was great to be asked by Hillendale Landrover to attend their family open day yesterday where I was doing gundog training demonstrations.  Throughout the day I was also available to offer guidance on gundog training as well as general advice on dog behaviour and training.  It was amazing to meet and talk to so many enthusiastic dog owners who were all keen to discuss future training and some of the problems that they experience with their dogs both at home and in the field.

I took my pack of dogs for the gundog demonstrations but would have to say that that Wisp my 11 week old puppy and Nell the residential Springer Spaniel were definitely the 2 stars of the day.

I demonstrated to the enthusiastic dog owners, how Wisp at only 11 weeks of age will recall to me regardless of distractions or unusual surroundings.  This has only been possible to achieve through the consistent training that she has received since she entered my kennels at 8 weeks old.  The other star of the day was Nell the residential Springer Spaniel.  Nell has suffered and experienced a tough life however after been re-homed she has resided with myself for the past week.  Nell was able to show how after only 1 week she has gained in confidence and is now more settled around people and sudden movement.
