RESIDENTIAL DOG TRAINING

Tessleymoor offers dedicated residential dog training for all breeds of dogs. I have secure indoor and external kennel facilities together with extensive training grounds. Residential dog training gives me the opportunity to train your dogs using an intensive specialised training programme. This is customised to suit the needs of each individual dog and owner, in other words – what do you want to achieve with your dog? I use short sessions several times each day, focusing on agreed specific areas for improvement.

The 1-2-1 dog training lessons I provide are highly effective. However, it is often the case that an owner has a particular area they would like to work on with their dog. This is usually related to some unwanted behaviour. For instance, it could be pulling on the lead, lunging at other dogs or failing to settle when out and about. These aren’t dogs with extreme behavioural issues; they just need to learn what’s expected of them. All you want is to go out for a nice walk without being pulled about or to go to the pub for a drink with the dog sitting nicely under your chair.

With residential dog training, I can work on these specific areas. Your dog will be with me every day for a short time – perhaps just a couple of weeks. You will be amazed at the progress that will be made and most importantly, the enjoyment will you get from your dog on their return.

Give me a call and we can chat through what you would like to achieve with your dog. This is a highly flexible service but spaces are limited so call today to reserve your residential dog training place.

Residential gundog training

I also offer a specialist residential gundog training programme. This includes essential groundwork and disciplines such as quartering, sit and stay, whistle work, retrieval and hunting. I have extensive experience in working with different breeds of dog, including Spaniels, Labradors and the full range of HPRs. My clients travel from all over the UK to get the best training experience for their dogs.

By working with dogs in this intensive way, I am able to provide positive training techniques. I can also correct any behavioural problems early. This will save you time in the long run and give you confidence in the shooting field. Subsequently, I will spend time with you and your dog in 1-2-1 sessions. This will ensure continuity and in the same vein, reinforce what the dog was trained for whilst in residence. If you have travelled some distance for your residential training, I am able to offer a package of virtual follow up lessons as part of my highly successful virtual dog training service. I am also always on hand to discuss any issues or concerns that may arise between lessons.
